GLO is the physical hand of God’s Grace which we aim to extend to the less fortunate communities
Our mission is to be the change we want to see in the world, by being the physical hand of God’s grace which we extend to orphanages, shelters, families in need, and overlooked members of society, one act of giving, one life at a time. We also aim to ... bridge the gap between willing hearts and communities in need. We serve as the hands and feet of compassion, making it easy for busy professionals and everyday people to give back meaningfully, even when they can’t be physically present. Through full transparency and detailed feedback, we ensure that every contribution, no matter how small, reaches the lives it’s meant to impact.
Our vision is to inspire a lifestyle of giving that spreads across South Africa and beyond. We imagine a world where compassion is contagious, where people are driven not by obligation, but by empathy, faith, and responsibility to uplift those less fortunate. ... We aim to grow Giving Light Organization into a continent-wide movement with local representatives and impactful initiatives, including school outreach, food assistance, mentorship, and more. We envision a future where the GLO spirit lives in every province, every community, and every heart, a future where giving is not just an act, but a way of life.
Giving Light Organization (GLO) began with a simple goal: to feed the homeless. What started with peanut butter and jam sandwiches has grown into a faith-rooted, compassion-driven nonprofit with four major projects each year Since our launch with ... Project Feed a Homeless Friend, we've extended our reach to Tembisa, Katlehong, Soweto, and Johannesburg CBD—offering support to orphans, people with disabilities, low-income families, and our homeless friends. Guided by Faith, Ubuntu, and Compassion, GLO brings hope, dignity, and practical help to those in need. With the support of our growing GLO Community across South Africa, we’re dreaming bigger: expanding into more provinces and launching initiatives in school outreach, grocery relief, and mentorship. At GLO, we believe real change starts with us—one act of kindness at a time.
